Tree Surveys

Grounds Maintenance Specialists Ltd are encouraging all schools to carry out tree surveys to satisfy their health and safety obligations and ensure all trees on the school premises are in a safe good condition. The local council used to carry out tree surveys on the schools behalf but this service is reducing greatly and the emphasis for responsibility is being placed back on the school.

We recommend a full tree survey where the trees are tagged, species named with approximate height, age and condition of each tree. Any required work is then quoted and prioritised with a high, medium and low risk; if all the required work is carried out we would then recommend the process be repeated on a 3 year cycle. As your grounds maintenance contractor we would check the trees for any changes in the intervening years.
