About Us

Grounds Maintenance Specialists Ltd (GMS Ltd) specialise in grass cutting and sports pitch maintenance with a wide array of machinery, the latest technology and trained staff to suit all maintenance needs. We have been maintaining commercial grounds, school grounds and sports pitches in the North East of England since 1997.

With over 42 staff members we operate from 2 depots across the North East with the main office and depot being in Cramlington, our additional site at West Boldon.

A cut below the competition in pricing we offer cost effective grounds maintenance solutions to help with tightening budget restraints but without compromising on the quality of our work or health and safety standards.

We are also a Corporate Plus member of Grounds Management Association (formerly the Institute of Groundsmanship).

As a company we are insured and hold a 10 million Public and Product Liability Insurance as well as a 10 million Employer Liability Insurance.

We have been using Grounds Maintenance Specialists Ltd for our school grounds maintenance now for 5 years. The customer service is excellent. What we are particularly impressed with is the flexibility and additional knowledge that they have. For example if we require extra services such as sand, bark or salt delivery it gets sorted straight away. Their service is flexible, so rather than cutting hedges to a rigid schedule they make a constant check and cut them when it needs it! If we have additional needs, anything from fungus growing from a tree to building a new amphitheatre or grounds drainage, GMS Ltd are always there to help. They also bring new ideas and share knowledge of other projects. We cannot fault their service and the nicest part is that they get on with the job with minimal fuss without us having to worry about it!
